Pregnancy Pain?
Does your back hurt? Pelvis in pain? Round ligament pain? Breach baby?
Pregnant women can safely receive chiropractic care. In fact, chiropractic treatments can help promote a healthy, stress-free pregnancy by alleviating joint pain, muscle aches and nausea.
As a mother who has personally navigated the challenges of nursing, recovery, and balancing motherhood, Dr. Amanda brings not only clinical expertise but also deep empathy and understanding to her care. She creates a safe, supportive space where moms feel seen, heard, and cared for during some of the most important—and often vulnerable—stages of life.
Dr. Amanda is Webster Technique certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
WEBSTER TECHNIQUE
The Webster Technique is used to treat expectant mothers, as this balances the pelvis and reduces the stress to the ligaments that support the uterus. When there is optimal pelvic and spinal alignment, birth may be shorter, there may be a decreased need for medical interventions and medications, and there may be a decrease in mispositioned babies.
The Webster Technique is safe for moms and babies but only treats mom. We never treat babies inside the womb. Its a specific technique that assesses and balances out the pelvis from the front and the back. we want to make sure baby has as much room as possible so they can be in the best position as possible. This will reduce malpositioned baby, labor times and interventions and need for medications. Who doesn't want shorter and easier labor, if it's possible?
Give Your Postpartum Body A Break!
Your body doesn't immediately heal after delivery.
So much attention shifts to the baby after birth, but Moms need support for their changing body at this critical time, too. Pregnancy and delivery place a tremendous amount of physical stress on the body, and many moms are left navigating pain, exhaustion, and physical changes while also caring for a newborn. Yes, that's motherhood...but postpartum chiropractic care focuses on helping moms recover: improve comfort, restore movement, and support overall fucntion during this major transition.
During the postpartum period (also known as the "Fourth Trimester"), moms commonly experience:
- Low back and pelvic pain
- Neck and shoulder pain, and tension from feeding and carrying baby
- Wrist and hand pain from repetitive lifting and feeding positions
- Core and pelvic floor weakness and postural changes
- Foot and leg pain from altered gait during pregnancy
- Hip tightness and instability
- Pain and stress after labor, prolonged pushing, or C-section recovery
